Ozeki Kirishima expressed his determination to be promoted to Yokozuna, at
the Natsu Jungyo today. On this day, he did the fundamentals and said,
"Right now I'm relaxing. There's still time, so I'll use this time to
properly build up my body." The resumption of actual sumo keiko is
undecided. "If I have time, I'm thinking of going to the gym," he said,
showing his enthusiasm for training. At the Nagoya tournament, where he
achieved 12 wins, he took part in the yusho playoffs, just as he did in the
summer tournament. He lost to Aonishiki and Atamifuji, missing out on the
Emperor's Cup once again, and said, "There was absolutely nothing good
about it." Nevertheless, he will continue his bid for Yokozuna at the Aki
Basho. Aiming for the highest rank once again, he said with determination,
"There's still a chance. I'll start over again. (The autumn tournament) it
will be here before we know it."
