Apologies for the volume today, but a lot of good stuff.. And welcome to
all new members-hope you enjoy the show.

*Ozeki Kirishima* lost to Shouda today, dropping to two losses. He attacked
with a left nodowa thrusting his left arm in and pushing with his right to
try and move forward, but in the end, he lost his balance to Shoudai's slap
and fell with both hands on the ground. In the bout yesterday in which he
defeated Wakamotoharu by yoritaoshi, he lost his balance at the edge of the
ring when his opponent threw him with his right arm and fell. He hit his
face hard on the straw bales on the opposite side of the ring, scraping his
forehead and nose and bleeding bright red. In the morning keiko today, he
had been treating it with ointment and revealed that his eldest daughter,
Ayago-chan, had been worried about him, but he bravely said, "I'm fine.
There's nothing wrong so far. I want to concentrate." In the bout, he
stepped onto the dohyo with a large bandage on his forehead and was in
attacking mode from the start, but suffered a heartbreaking defeat. He
reflected, "My legs just wouldn't move," and reiterated that there were no
problems with his injuries, saying, "They're perfectly fine." The race for
the yusho is a close contest, but he looked ahead, saying, "I just have to
focus on myself. This isn't the time to be thinking about that. I'll forget
about today and do my best tomorrow."
