Yokozuna Oonosato had an 8-4 record against hiramaku rikishi in asageiko He
had 6 bouts each with Gounoyama and Hiradoumi, for a total of 12 bouts.
After finishing his third sumo keiko session of the jungyo, he reflected,
"It was a good practice session." In his first bout against Gounoyama, he
was pulled down and put both hands on the ground, but after that, he had
some moments where he powerfully pushed him out of the dohyo, and finished
with a 4-2 record against him. He also lost to Hiradoumi in the first bout
after being pushed out of the dohyo, but finished with a 4-2 record against
him as well.. Looking ahead to Aki Basho, he said, "I will practice hard
and do my best to be ready for the first day (13th). I want to continue to
practice hard from tomorrow onwards."
