He will be demoted two ranks from "Committee Member-Level Elder (Iin Taigu Toshiyori)" to "Elder (Iin)" and his salary will be reduced by 10% for three months. Isegahama Oyakata himself reported the act of violence to the Kyokai . On February 24th, three people, including the victim Hakunofuji and Maegashira Nishikifuji, who was aware of the situation, went to the Ryogoku Kokugikan in Tokyo for questioning. On February 27th, Isegahama Oyakata responded to the media and admitted the facts. He was ordered to take a leave of absence from Haru Basho held in Osaka in March and did not come to the venue for 15 days. On the other hand, he was instructing his disciples in keiko at his heya in Osaka. The Compliance Committee investigated the matter, and it was initially expected that a decision on disciplinary action would be made at the regular board meeting held on March 26. However, a proposal for disciplinary action to be submitted to the Kyokain could not be finalized, and the decision was delayed until April. On this day, the matter was considered at an extraordinary board meeting, and the disciplinary action was formally decided.
