I don't know one way or the other, but the YDC is always looking for another Japanese yokozuna. If Takakeisho goes zensho he might get it, especially if Hakuho is still around at the end. Kisenosato was promoted after jun-yusho, yusho and that was his first Emperor's Cup. <div dir="ltr">John Gunning makes a point I had not thought about. If Takakeisho beats Terunofuji on the last day, they could ostensibly both meet the prerequisites for promotion to Yokozuna. That would be cool. But I don't remember seeing any talk about Takakeisho along those lines.
